About Jeffrey

Academics:
My name is Jeffrey Kirkbride and I am from Ohio, but lived in California from 1982 – 2006. I have a Bachelors degree in Physics from Ohio University and two Master’s degrees in Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana. My emphasis in grad school was plasma physics and controlled thermonuclear fusion research. After finishing grad school I went to work as a research engineer at Xerox in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Faith Journey
While in high school and grad school, as well at Xerox, I developed a deep interest in spiritual things. I was led to a personal experience of faith in God through Jesus Christ. I was personally led to give away everything I owned and trust God to supply my daily needs.

In scripture Jesus states, ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.” Two couples and I planted a church in the Vietnamese and Asian Indian communities. During that time, a retired school teacher told me she thought I would be a good teacher in high school or college.

Teaching career and the birth of a ministry
In January 1990, I began teaching part-time physics and engineering at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA. In 1997 I began teaching astronomy at Evergreen Valley College. In 1998 I was commissioned as a full-time minister in the ministry of Science Faith and the Kingdom. This is a ministry of education & reconciliation between: Those in full-time Christian ministry who know very little of the basics of science, and those who know very little of what it means to live a life of spiritual faith.
